A Look at Life in Bangladesh

Sellers transport dozens of cattle into narrow boats with tens of people on as they are taken for sale at a market in Munshiganj, Bangladesh on July 4, 2022 ahead of Eid-ul-Azha, Feast of Sacrifice, one of the Muslim's biggest festivals. More than one million cattle travel nearly 200 miles on the small boats, accompanied by human passengers, many of whom are perched to the aft and stern of the vessel on their way to the market. The livestock are crammed onto the smallest boat possible because the narrower the boats, the cheaper the rent. Muslims Worldwide Celebrate Eid-ul-Azha by sacrificing animals to commemorate the prophet Ibrahim's faith in being willing to sacrifice his son.
