People take part in the making of eco-friendly Idol of the elephant-headed Hindu God Ganesha using clay during the Guinness World Record attempt for “The most people sculpting with modelling clay” in Bangalore, India, 28 August 2022. Around 3308 people set a new Guinness World Record achieved by Sri Vidyaranyapura Yuvaka Sangha (organisers of Bengaluru Ganesh Utsav) and Karnataka State Pollution Control Board. During the Ganpati festival, that is celebrated as the birthday of Lord Ganesha, idols of the Hindu deity are worshipped at hundreds of pandals or makeshift tents before they are immersed into water bodies.
