Humans and Animals

A barn owl is wrapped in a towel during a health check on December 07, 2022 in Dubbo, Australia. The new hospital is the only dedicated wildlife hospital west of the Blue Mountains. Aside from providing care to all of the animals in Taronga's care from Rhinos though to Siamangs, it also plays an important role in treating injured native wildlife and supporting the animals in the zoo's conservation breeding programs. A key element of the hospital is that the treatment rooms are all on show to guests, allowing them a window into seeing how the team heals the wild. (Photo by Jenny Evans/Getty Images)
