A local market without electricity as the country is plunged into darkness following a major power breakdown, in Karachi, Pakistan, 23 January 2023. According to the Ministr of Energy Khurram Dastgir, the system of frequency of the national grid went down resulting in a widespread breakdown in the system. Pakistan is facing a severe economic crisis that led the government to recently approve a new energy conservation plan to reduce consumption.
