A Look at Life in Bangladesh

Tens of thousands of devotees pay their respects during Muslim Jummah prayer at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque in Dhaka, Bangladesh on April 7, 2023. Around 10,000-15,000 people attended the Mosque for their weekly prayers. The National Mosque of Bangladesh, known as Baitul Mukarram or The Holy House in English, is one of the 10 biggest mosques in the world and can hold up to 40,000 people, including in the outside open space. The mosque has several modern architectural features whilst at the same time it preserves the traditional principles of Mughal architecture which has for some time been dominant in the Indian sub-continent.
