Bears, waking up from hibernation, are seen at the Ovakorusu Celal Acar Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Center in the Karacabey district of Bursa, Turkiye on May 02, 2023. 71 brown bears, 63 of them adult, brought from different regions of Turkiye and unable to live in nature live in the this center on an area of ââ10 hectares, which was opened in 1996 as part of the “Freedom for the Bears Project” under the 2nd Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Agriculture and Forestry.
