Rebecca Smith plays the Stroh violin in a replica vintage dress in London on March 31, 2022. The Savoy combines forces with Alex Mendham and his orchestra to raise funds for Ukraine. In the 1920s and 1930s the Savoy Orpheans were a household name, and for this charitable collaboration, the orchestra will become “The New Savoy Orpheans”, and create an exclusive recording in the hotel. They play in the hotel's Lancaster Ballroom, to record a medley of pieces that represent the finest melodies of the Jazz Age with the intention of raising valuable funds for the Disasters Emergency Committee.
