Semana Santa or Easter week in Spain is the most important week in the Spanish religious calendar. Granada is known as one of the most beautiful settings as the processsions or pasos takes place against a backdrop of the Alhambra Palace. Across Spain it is mostly brotherhoods of men that carry the religious icons during these parades however in Granada here is one brotherhood, the Trabajo y Luz, where women carry the icon and they make preparations and practice weeks in advamce.
