Ivorians take part in a parade on the last day of the 42th Popo Carnival in Bonoua, 60km south of Abidjan, Ivory Coast, 30 April 2021. The carnival of Bonoua is the Ivorians version of Mardi Gras running for a week. Derived from a celebration of the cultural heritage of the Aboure people, the Popo Carnival involves gastronomic competitions, Miss pageants, sports days, a festival of traditional dances and reflection workshops on Popo museum amongst other activities.
