Around 100,000 people have been evacuated from flooded villages in Pakistan's Punjab province, according to emergency services on 23 August. The province faces the largest flood in 35 years along the Sutlej River, caused by water discharge upstream from neighboring India, provincial Relief Commissioner Nabeel Javed said.
