Thousands of mayflies have come together around power poles and dance around them in Sakarya, Turkiye on August 16, 2023. Many died on the day when they left the river. Footage shows a number of dead mayflies on the road where drivers had difficulties due to skid hazard. Mayflies are known for their extremely short life spans and appearance in large numbers during the summer months.
