A harvest worker holds Burley type of tobacco leaves in his stained hands on a private land at the village of Biri, eastern Hungary, 26 July 2022. The family-owned business sells its product to Universal Leaf Tobacco Magyarorszag Ltd., an affiliate of the US based Universal Corporation. Burley accounts for fifteen percent of the total domestic tobacco production, the remaining eighty-five percent being Virginia type plants. Burley tobacco is air-dried usually in breezy barns for 45 to 90 days, depending on air humidity and weather, while Virginia leaves are desiccated by gas. (Photo by Attila Balazs/EPA/EFE)
