Hindu devotees sit with Prodip (lights) and pray to God for the welfare of family in front of Shri Shri Lokanath Brahmachari Ashram temple, Swamibag, Dhaka, Bangladesh on November 7, 2023 during Rakher Upobash, a religious Hindu fasting festival organized annually at the last half of the Bengali month Kartik. Devotees sit with food and candles and pray in earnest to the God before breaking the fast. Light from hundreds of lamps, intense smoke from dhunachi, high peach rhythm of chanting and devotees absorbed in prayers creates breath-taking ambiance. At last, devotees break their fast taking the prashad from temple. Rakher Upobash is a Hindu religious festival of lights, faith and devotion.
