An owl gives a menacing stare as it peers towards the camera from behind a gate post before strutting its stuff on a footpath sign. The picture was taken by photographer Paul Browning in the Yorkshire Dales in March 2022. The 43 year old from Camberley, Surrey said “I had been following these little owls for a while and had found their nesting location. This one little owl was playing on the fence post in-between gathering food to take back to the nest, where it looks as if he was playing peekaboo with me and when I caught the perfect moment he gave me this menacing stare.
