A Look at Life in Bangladesh

Chillis are dried in the sun in the Chandrapur district of Bangladesh in the second decade of February 2024. If there is a good yield of chillis, they are dried in the fields as well as on the roads or backyards nearby. You can get a yield of up to 2 tonnes per hectare. A mound of dry chilli is sold for between, 4,300 and 4,500 taka (€30 – €32.50) in different local markets of the country. (Photo by Istiyak Ahamed Srabon/Solent News)
