Protest demonstrations against the government of Dina Boluarte left at least 12 injured on 06 January, including 4 policemen, in clashes around the Juliaca airport in southern Peru, while the prosecutor's office began to investigate the deaths of protesters that occurred in last December. The Ombudsman's Office reported, through its Twitter account, that they went to the Carlos Monge Medrano hospital in Julicaca, and verified 'the existence of 8 civilians and 4 injured policemen', after the clashes at the Inca Manco Capac airport, which closed its operations due to the riots.
