Pelebon ceremony is held to bid farewell to the deceased and release their soul from the physical body. The centerpiece of the ceremony is the ornate funeral tower called the “Bade”, which carries the body to the cremation site during a grand procession accompanied by musicians, dancers, and mourners. The ceremony reflects the Balinese belief in the cyclical nature of life and death and involves community participation to honor the departed's journey to the afterlife. (Photo by Made Nagi/EPA/EFE)
