British Army Apache AH-64E attack helicopters are prepared for take off from Wattisham Flying Station in Suffolk on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, alongside Wildcat reconnaissance helicopters (left) and RAF Chinook support helicopters, before heading to Estonia to train alongside Nato allies on Exercise Steadfast Defender 24. The fleet of new attack helicopters will be joined by Wildcat reconnaissance helicopters and RAF Chinook support helicopters to join a NATO training exercise in Finland. The Apaches will fly strike missions in support of large-scale Finnish Army training, before heading to Estonia for a further exercise where they will be joined by more British helicopters.
