A shrimp fisher on horseback goes out into the sea to showcase their skills in Oostduinkerke, southern west coast of Belgium, 07 August 2024. Shrimp fishing on horseback is a centuries-old tradition unique to Belgium. Using powerful Brabant draft horses, fishermen and fisherwomen navigate the shallow waters, pulling nets through the sand to catch shrimp. This remarkable practice, recognised by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage since 2013, continues throughout the year except for the winter months. (Photo by Olivier Matthys/EPA)
