A Lesser flamingo at the birds' enclosure at the Joburg Zoo in Johannesburg, South Africa, 12 August 2024. The Joburg Zoo is a 55-hectare zoo established in 1904 and houses about 2,000 animals of some 320 species. The Lesser Flamingo is found in sub-Saharan Africa and western India. The bill of a flamingo acts like a sieve, filtering microorganisms and tiny bits of algae from the water. (Photo by Kim Ludbrook/EPA/EFE)
