Four Paws organization, Elizabeth Margaret Steyn (EMS) Foundation and Shambala Private Game Reserve collaborated for the retirement of Charley, a 42-year-old African elephant, to the 10,000-hectare Shambala Reserve in Limpopo, a Four Paws statement reads. Charley was captured in Zimbabwe, brought to South African circus in 1984 before being transferred to Pretoria's National Zoological Garden zoo in 2001.
