A Look at Life in Turkey

3-year-old Belgian Malinois dog, “Parka”, is being trained with the Remote Command Control System (UKKS) to assist personnel in search and reconnaissance missions by entering hazardous zones before military personnel in Bursa, Turkiye on August 14, 2024. The system, developed for the Turkish Armed Forces (TAF), will be deployed on trained dogs to provide real-time video feed from tunnels, caves, and other dangerous locations. This innovative approach aims to enhance the safety of both the dogs and soldiers. To protect the dogs during operations, specially designed goggles and helmets will shield their eyes in confined spaces, while a headset system will enable the dogs to return to their handlers when danger is detected.
