The sculpture of a canal boat after being installed on the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal on September 7, 2024. The artwork by artist Alex Chinneck measures 13 metres long and six metres high, and is fabricated from 9 tonnes of helically-rolled steel and aluminium, painted in traditional canal boat colours. The looping boat bears the name “The Industry”, after the first vessel to navigate the Sheffield & Tinsley Canal when it opened in 1819, and it features the Tudor Rose (the assay mark of Sheffield).
