Fifty hot air balloons from various countries, including England, France, Brazil, Monaco, Italy, Switzerland, Tunisia, and Morocco, are prepared to float in the sky during the first day of The European Balloon Festival, the largest hot air balloon event in southern Europe, held in Igualada, Barcelona, Spain on July 11, 2024. The festival is featuring the world premiere of the Space Aerostatic Capsule, a closed and pressurized cabin designed to fly at 20,000 meters altitude, developed by the aerospace company Zero 2 Infinity and adapted by the local company Ultramagic. This capsule is the result of an experimental project inspired by the music producer Burak Yeter, who plans to perform DJ sets at high altitudes.
