A Look at Life in Bangladesh

Workers are collecting tea leaves from a tea garden cultivated in the plains of Panchagarh, the northernmost district of Bangladesh on January 8, 2025. About 20 percent of the national tea production comes from northern regions. Tea production in the northern region is increasing day by day. The northern tea industry employs 25,000-30,000 people directly and indirectly. Tea leaves are sold at Tk 20 per kg. After processing, about 250 grams of tea is made from one kilogram of tea leaves.
