The Megamerinidae is a family of small flies (Diptera), characterized by their slender, medium-sized bodies and long abdomens. Two Megamerinidae flies were observed mating on a leaf in Tehatta, West Bengal, India, on December 31, 2024. They were occasionally seen flying around while in a mating state.
