French farmers from various unions (FDSEA, JA) blocked the M6 and A6 motorways in Lyon, France on January 25, 2024. Lanes are blocked in both directions from Limonest (69). This blockade is part of a nationwide action of roadblocks organized by several agricultural unions to protest against rising production costs and environmental regulations. The European Commission is due to begin “strategic” discussions on Thursday with farmers' federations, agri-businesses, NGOs and experts on ways to quell farm anger in several countries.
