Vanda the Lion from Ukraine on March 22, 2025 greets Cam Whitnall the managing director of the Big Cat sanctuary through a glass partition at her new home in the newly built Lion rescue centre at the sanctuary in Kent, UK. Vanda was discovered in February 2024 alone in an apartment near the frontline in Ukraine likely kept as a pet and then abandoned.
