Oleksandr Zavnenko, a Ukrainian amputee veteran of the Russian-Ukrainian war and patient of the Unbroken rehabilitation centre, dances on prosthetic legs with his wife Maria in Lviv on June 4, 2025, amid the Russian invasion in Ukraine. Oleksandr, 36, a veteran of the 12th Special Forces Brigade “Azov”, before the war, he danced while his wife Maria is a professional choreographer. In October 2024, Oleksandr lost both of his lower limbs in battle. Despite this, he always dreamed of returning to his life.
