Animals last Weeks

Standalone picture dated July 1, 2025 shows a Chinese water deer peeping out from the barley in Grimston, Norfolk, UK. Chinese water deer were first kept at London Zoo in 1873 but escaped from Whipsnade Zoo in 1929. Numbers have increased over the years due to escapes and releases and the British population now accounts for 10 per cent of the world's total. They are mainly found in Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk. (Photo by Julie Smart/Bav Media)
