Skittles and Hopscotch, two seal pups, have been released back into the sea at Hastings, East Sussex,, UK on August 4, 2025, after being nursed back to health on a diet of fish soup, mackerel and herring. They were taken into the RSPCA’s Mallydams Wood wildlife centre eight weeks ago after being found by volunteers from British Divers Marine Life Rescue. The pups, thought to be about five months old, were underweight and suffering from injuries and parasites. The RSPCA said the pups would not have survived without help. (Photo by RSPCA/Cover Images)
