Cambodia is one of the most heavily mined countries in the world; some estimate that there is as many as ten million mines in a country of 14.5 million people. Handicap International has been working in Cambodia for almost 30 years, supporting people with disabilities and victims of chronic diseases. The organisation gives priority to this people, working on injuries prevention. Prosthetic and rehabilitation are part of the main focus actions, which they have been doing in their physiotherapy centre in Kampong Cham since 2002.
