Riot police stand in line in front of pro-Russian protesters, who try to occupy the Regional administration building in Donetsk, Ukraine, 03 March 2014. According to reports, pro-Russian demonstrators managed to occupy parts of the administration building in the home town of toppled Ukrainian president Viktor Yanukovych. Meanwhile, the Russian army reportedly occupied key sites in the autonomous region of Crimea, where a majority of the population is ethnic Russian.
