The lamb's mother was originally brought to the Showground as part of a community rescue effort, after the 43-year-old farmer, whose family has farmed for five generations, had to leave his farm near Burrowbridge on the Somerset Levels after it was badly affected by flood water. The Royal Bath and West of England Society has launched a Somerset Farmers' Regeneration Fund to help those affected by the flooding on the Somerset Levels get back on their feet when the water recedes, which is running alongside the Society's Somerset Levels Relief Fund launched six months ago to tackle the long term needs of the area.
