“Mass on the Summit of Irelands Holy Mountain”. ArchBishop Of Tuam Michael Neary celebrates mass with Pilgrims on the summit of Croagh Patrick during the Annual pilgrimage in honour of Saint Patrick, Ireland's patron saint. Croagh Patrick overlooks Clew Bay in County Mayo, which overlooks Clew Bay in County Mayo, Ireland and is considered the holiest mountain in Ireland. The tradition of pilgrimage to this holy mountain stretches back over 5,000 years from the Stone Age to the present day without interruption.
