Remembering H. R. Giger

Science Fiction Museum and Hall of Fame collections manager Michele Wallace works on the installation of the 18-foot Alien Queen Mother from the movie Aliens during preparations in Seattle on May 7, 2004 for the museum's grand opening on June 18. The Alien monster mockup made of molded latex and steel was used in the filming of the 1986 science fiction horror movie and is on loan to the museum for display along with other rare science fiction artifacts and memorabilia. Many articles, of which, are from Microsoft co-founder and billionaire Paul Allen's personal collection. (Photo by Anthony P. Bolante/Reuters)
