An American White Pelican displays the bump on the top of his beak, Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at Flamingo Gardens in Davie, Fla. The bump shows the bird wants to mate and will disappear after breeding season. Flamingo Gardens is 60 acres featuring 3000 species of rare & exotic, tropical, subtropical, and native plants and trees. The Everglades Wildlife Sanctuary is home to over 90 species of Florida native birds and animals, most of whom are permanently injured or non-releasable.Other animals are simply dumped at the park's gates.
