(L) Sofia Gomez (age 3) and her sister Sydney Gomez (age 5) were playing a game where they hopped from each recessed light plate to another all around the Washington Monument. Sydney watches as her little sister is about to land on one. They are visiting with their mom and dad from Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.
The National Park Service and the Trust for the National Mall celebrated the re-opening of the Washington Monument after earthquake damage repair.
