The Tree Projects team spent 67 days documenting one eucalyptus regnans in the Styx valley of Tasmania. Using a combination of tree-climbing and elaborate arboreal rigging techniques, they produced an intimate portrait from an impossible perspective of one of the world’s largest individual flowering trees, which goes by several common names. White Lion Cubs

Rare White Lion Cub Debut

A rare snow-white lion cub was born on September 14 at Leon’s Zoo in Guanajuato, Mexico. White lions are not albinos. They are color mutations of a certain subspecies of lion, and very rare. When they occurred in the wild in South Africa, the locals regarded them as divine.

The Angel Oak Tree In South Carolina

The Angel Oak Tree is a Southern live oak located in Angel Oak Park on Johns Island near Charleston, South Carolina. The Angel Oak Tree is estimated to be at least 400 years old[citation needed]. It stands 66.5 ft (20 m) tall, measures 28 ft (8.5 m) in circumference, and produces shade that covers 17,200 square feet (1,600 m2). Its longest branch distance is 187 ft. in length. Angel Oak was the 210th tree to be registered with the Live Oak Society.
