Fact Women of the World Nomad Games 2018
Meerim Momunova wrestles with her fellow Kyrgyz teammate Anara Ryskulova during a performance of a traditional style of wrestling called “Alysh”. Momunova is a champion in Asia and has been competing since 2015, after a background in judo. According to Momunova, one of the advantages of “Alysh” is the ease of the uniform for women – even Muslim women who cover their faces can compete. British artist Nick Veasey used an X-ray machine to show us exactly what's going on under people's clothes. The equipment took copies of items separately before they were mashed together to create characters and situations. The work is part of Veasey's latest exhibition named “X-ray Voyeurism”. Chasseuse d'Oiseaux, 2011

Artist Richard Stipl was born in Czechoslovakia in 1968 and now lives and works both in Canada and the Czech Republic.
Working initially as a painter, Richard Stipl has recently turned to making sculpture. Considered an exceptional talent in technical terms, Richard stands apart from his contemporaries through his uncanny ability to breathe a vital and invigorating “life force” into his art works, regardless of media.
Stipl is included in many important public and private collections worldwide.
