A keen pet owner has created a series of quirky poster-style artworks – with his photogenic pet pooch as the star. Rafael Mantesso, 31, a co-founder of a gastronomy institute, from Carangola, Minas Gerais, Brazil spends his time shooting pictures of five-year-old bull terrier dog Jimmy Choo in different everyday poses – complete with Rafaels hand drawn illustrations. Terrier Meysi is the World’s Smallest Dog

Meet Meysi, a tiny Terrier crossbreed from Jarocin, Poland, who is is unwittingly vying for the title of World’s Smallest Living Dog. Meysi weighed just 1.58 ounces at her birth three months ago and her owner Anna Pohl wasn’t sure the cute puppy would survive.

Nina Leen, one of the first female photographers to work for Life, took pictures for the magazine from 1940 to 1972. In the mid-1940s, her essay, “City Dogs”, featured actors and artists with their pets on the streets of New York City. In late-March, Daniel Cooney Fine Art in New York City, is opening a solo exhibition of Leen’s work that features images from that essay and others.
