A general view of the the scene after hundreds of homes were demolished early 22 August 2015 by Nairobi County Government during forced evictions. Most families spent their nights outside their demolished houses as they guarded their belongings in Mathare slums in Nairob. Amnesty International on 21 August 2015 said that the Nairobi County Government must immediately stop the demolition of hundreds of homes and forced evictions in the slum.
