Amir Hussain Lone uses his feet to shave at his home in the village of Waghama Anantnag, south of Srinagar, the summer capital of Indian Kashmir, 04 March 2016. Lone, a 26-year-old man from the Kashmiri Anantnag district, despite being handicapped plays his favourite sports cricket, writes and does all other activities by using his feet and toes. Amir has not given up since he lost his both arms at the age of eight in a tragic accident at his fathers sawmill. When playing cricket he bats, bowls and fields with unusual techniques such as holding the bat between his neck and shoulder or bowling with his toes using a sweeping leg movement to launch the ball. These skills even made him to become the current captain of the Jammu and Kashmir state para-cricket team. Looking back, Amir says that there was a time after the accident when his parents had sold everything to pay for his treatment. “People used to tell my parents what's the use of such a son, it's better he dies”, Amir says, adding that he decided to fight back.
