A Look at Life in China

Agricultural workers tend a grape field in Yanjiao, a rapidly expanding satellite city of over 700,000 people, outside Beijing. Yanjiao, a city of sky scraping apartment blocks, is rapidly consuming all of the villages surrounding it. Beijing is a prime example of China's rapid urbanization. China's capital city is planning on joining Tianjin to create a massive supercity of over 100 million people in an effort to become an economic powerhouse on par with the Pearl River Delta region and Shanghai's Yangtze River Delta.
