Nepalese plays on a bamboo swing in Kathmandu during the Dashain festival in Kathmandu, Nepal, 09 October 2016. The bamboo swings, locally known as “Ping” are constructed all over the country by local communities for the spirit and fun. Some elderly say playing on a swing means to leave feet from the earth once in a year which will take away ill feelings and negative vibes. The Dashain Festival commemorates the victory of the gods over the wicked demons, and it is regular practice to sacrifice animals to celebrate the goddess Durga. (Photo by Narendra Shrestha/EPA)
