People in the Landscape

A lone hammock nestle between the bent branches of a tree in the centre of a lake in Florida, USA, 14 August 2016. A photographer is cutting back on luggage by using a unique tent replacement – a homey hammock. After losing patience with lugging heavy tents and ground sheets around America, wildlife and conservation photographer Mac Stone, 32, traded it all in for his trusty one pound hammock. While most people only use a hammock for a lazy nap underneath their favourite garden tree, or to sunbathe on a beach, Stone loves the spontaneity of carrying his own hotel room wherever he goes.
