Some Photos: Vietnam War

A Vietnamese woman and her children crouch in a hole at the edge of a battlefield 15 miles northeast of Toy Hoa, where a battalion of the U.S. 1st Brigade, 101st Airborne Division, reinforced by the 1st Cavalry, was defending its jungle hilltop positions against an estimated regiment of North Vietnamese regulars, June 22, 1966. Most civilians had taken cover during during several days of fighting. A U.S. soldier had given this family a C-ration in the tin can, while the hat under it once belonged to a North Vietnamese soldier. (Photo by Henri Huet/AP Photo)
