Bosnian chefs and their apprentices, cut the World's largest minced meat pie, known as “burek”, on the central square in Tuzla, on October 14, 2017. This pie was made as an attempt at the Guinness record for the largest burek. It weighed 650 kilograms, was made from 1.5 kms of hand rolled dough and the final product measured 6.5 meters in diameter. After the public presentation at the square, the pie was cut up in 4.500 portions and distributed to several thousands of citizens of Tuzla, who gathered at the square to witness the ceremony.
