Thousands of people take part in the demonstration called by Societat Civil Catalana (SCC) under the motto “Now more than ever, common sense” to denounce the political blockage in Catalonia, in Barcelona, Spain, 18 March 2018. Protesters claim the region is in a complete political blockage as no Government has been invested three months after regional elections and no there is no candidate to the regional Presidency. Last 12 March 2018, the Speaker of Catalonia's regional Parliament, Roger Torrent, postponed the session that was going to be held to invest Jordi Sanchez as regional President, after the Supreme Court denied his freedom. Jordi Sanchez remains under provisional detention for his role in the Catalan independence process, while former regional President and initial candidate Carles Puigdemont remains in Belgium.
