A girl carrying a child walks by as Myanmar laborers relay bricks while working at a brick kiln factory on the outskirts of Yangon, Myanmar, 01 March 2020. The laborers at the factory earn around 4,000 to 5,000 Myanmar kyats (2.8 to 3.5 US dollar) on average for around eight hours of work at the brick kiln. According to the Myanmar Poverty Report released in June 2019 (produced by the Central Statistical Organization with support from the World Bank and the United Nations Development Programme) as part of the Myanmar Living Conditions Survey (MLCS), about one in four people, or 24.8 percent of the population in Myanmar is living at or below the poverty line.
